This course is an overnight experience in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. During this course you will learn Leave-No-Trace travel skills and practices and wild land ethics, and gain a better understanding of the impact we have on our sensitive world. The course also covers teaching techniques and tools for sharing these low impact skills with other backcountry users.
Participants will become certified as LNT Trainers in this two day course. Most of our training will occur at a backcountry campsite. You’ll need to bring your own camping equipment (appropriate for a night out in a wilderness setting) and personal items. Rental equipment can be provided if needed. This class is taught by a Leave-No-Trace Master Educator. The course includes all food when on the trail, a licensed NYS guide, and course materials.
