10,000 Islands Fishing, Kayaking and Camping Trip

"Cigars and rum by the fire, sleeping on the beach and catching fish all day.  It doesn't get any better!  From my first contact with Scott everything was perfect.  I knew exactly where I was going and what to bring.  The fishing was great but even if it wasn't the whole experience was perfect.  I was a little leery of the food, expecting freeze dried backpackers food.  But I was astonished at what we had for meals.  The fresh ingredients were a pleasant surprise.  Thanks again, Scott."
Jim Peters - Cleveland, OH

2013 Dates: January 28-February 1, February 11- 15
$895 per person

The 10,000 Islands Region of the Everglades is well known for its fishing, camping and kayaking, so why not combine them for a fantastic vacation! Our top priority on these week-long vacations is catching fish, and kayaks are our mode of transportation to the camping and fishing spots.

During the trip our target fish are snook, redfish and sea trout. Most of the time will be spent wade-fishing, but as your kayaking skills develop you’ll have the opportunity to try fishing from your kayak. Our four nights on the water will be spent at camping spots on island beaches, and you’ll always want to have your rod handy, as you can often see fish cruising the flats from your tent!

This trip is designed for paddlers with some previous kayaking experience. Basic paddling and safety instruction will be reviewed at the beginning of the trip. You should be in good health and accustomed to regular exercise. Whether you are a fly or a spin fisherman, you should be able to cast relatively accurately and be accustomed to fishing in a 10 – 15 knot wind.

The cost of the trip includes all equipment (kayak and paddling accessories), camping fees, all on-water meals, and guide. Fishing rods and reels are also available if you don’t want to travel with your own. Not included in the cost is air or land transportation to Everglades City, Florida area, any meals not previously mentioned, alcoholic beverages, gratuities for the guides, or medical expenses due to injury or illness. You will need to provide your own tent, sleeping bag, and pad. However, tents are available for rent. Since this trip is five full days of paddling and fishing, you will need to plan to arrive in Everglades City the night before the first paddling day, and to depart the day after the last paddling day.

There is a minimum number of participants required to confirm this trip. Therefore please do not make any travel arrangements (airline flights, train) until you have received confirmation from us that the trip has fully booked. A 50% deposit is due at time of reservation, with payment in full due 60 days prior to the trip’s start date. Email us or call (315) 335-1681 to reserve your spot.
